Here is a shot looking down the row of paper. As you can see, the experiment kind of worked. Unfortunately, the left side of the row ripped along the edge every two feet or so. That would have to be addressed. I have also been told that laying paper onto a flat surface (instead of a raised bed) works just fine. But flat beds just don't work here. With our downpour rains, crops on flat beds will drown. In conclusion, I think paper has some potential to replace plastic. But getting it laid onto a raised bed without tearing the edges is a flaw that definitely needs to be overcome.

The Paper Bed
