Nick and I work at night to sort and bundle the days scion wood. Scion wood is what's used to propagate fruit trees. Look at those piles. Dated 2/25/2010
For the past three days I have been living with the Botner family of Yoncalla Oregon. They are wonderful people and their farm is absolutely gorgeous - surrounded by rolling hills. We spend the days working in the nine acre orchard and eat incredibly good meals. I can't believe this is real. Dated 2/25/2010
Met up with Fred Mills-Price from Seed Savers Exchange. He is teaching me about grafting and other types of plant propagation. His place here in southern Oregon is totally awesome. I can't even begin to say how many varieties of fruit trees are here.

Stayed at a hostel in the town of Soda Springs CA with the coolest bunch of folks. They are part of an adventure school based out of Quincy. I was very grateful for their company. If you see this thanks again for adopting me for the night.
No I did not propose. This is one of the countless pieces of public 'art' by the side of the road along I 80. This one is made with charcoal briquettes. Pretty cool.
Wyoming like Kansas has huge installations of these massive wind turbines. The picture does not capture their sheer size or the impressive blade rotation.
